Doors of lüneburg

You see, nearly the whole photo weekend I was occupied with doors (-: Some seemed so old and romantic thar I wondered, if someone had gone through in the last hundert years...

Doors 9/ doors of very old houses

Lüneburg: Many houses here are dating from the 13th. century. Most of the inhabitants are younger than 30. Students. Soon one of my daughters will live there.

On the road again

Impressions on the motorway. Loneliness during a nightdrive to the north. Motionless motion. Hope to arrive. You are somehow out of the world. Wind turbines are menacing as raiders. Greetings from Don Quichote.

The door

I don´t know, today I can see no "golden thread" in what I show you. I just show you the photos which provoke strong feelings in me. This is the door in my fathers house, light and shadow.

At the graveyard

Once again I will show you my dad. At the grave of my mother. But today it is not a personal concern. I take him as a modell, as a prototype: "The man at the grave, near the grave, thinking about his life".

Thunderstorm coming

Hello alltogether, this weekend I was in north-germany... very flat and you can see the weather far away. An old turn of expression, joking about the flattnes of the landscape, saíd: Today you can see, who is coming for a visit tomorrow. So I saw the thunderstorm of the next day (-:. By the way, the photo also shows, that the earth is round.

Post festum 3

The last lights of the funfair were mirrowed in the water puddles. But still in the moment of the end, the lights were great, impressioning, mysterious... show you more in the next days.

Post festum 2

Some even dared still to ride the dodgem cars. You already know, that I think, that image sharpness is not so important if you want to paint with the camera. Here is my observation of people in motion. I did not need to blurr this photo...

The last minutes 5 /post festum

After midnight, police tried to close all shops and the chase away the customers. Some dared to stay and even tried to buy some burnt almonds. So did I (-:

The last minutes 4

The last funfair-workers stood in vain, waiting for clientage.

The last minutes 3

As it was midnight, all children had gone and there special toys were completely grown lonely. They turned around and around without passengers and sense, until the light was switched off.

The last minutes 2

Only some people were left on the huge kermess areal. They were lost somehow. The loneliness was spreading more and more every minute...

The last minutes 1

Life demolishes a lot of plans. Instead of working on bridges -as I promised- I studied the funfair in our town. 4.2 Million of people went there during ten days, so it was a real big event. But I don´t like to walk and photograph in the crowd. So I went to the funfair in the last half hour before midnight of the closing day. There I found, what I was looking for: space and colours, pure swirling clouds of coulours...

It is really summer

Now you can see it clearly: It is summer. the gras is high, all kind of flowers and bees take their chance. Just sit in a meadow, watch them and enjoy life. The ninth wave can wait ... and I forget all catastrophes of the univers. Just enjoying summer.

Meadows

It´s time to sitt in the meadows and watch the bees and everything scrabbling and flying araound.

Summertime at the Rhine

Rivers are as bridges, but a little more. They are seperating and connecting at the same time.

The spider and the bridge

In the next days or weeks I will show you more about the subjekt "bridges". Bridges are fascinating, as a symbol (from me to you- over the water), as an momument of architecture and also as a abstract sculpur.

the ninth wave /another version

Posted by Picasa

The Hubble telescope photographed the immense gas fog of the orion star constellation, the pictures were release in the last days. They reminded me of "the ninth wave", one of our friends showed in the last week, see http://lakealike.blogspot.com All this chaos, all this threating dangers, all this powerfull devellopments, we can see in "the ninth wave" we have again in the cosmos. Galaxies are bursting, collapsing and colliding. I think, until now we have not in our awareness, what astronomy has discovered. Everything is in motion, nothing is eternal, even the biggest structures of univers are mortal. So what, why are we taking us so serious?

In the sea, the ninth wave always is the highest. But in the deepth of univers there are exploding shockfronts with millions of this destruction power. Everything will be destroyed. Our earth collided with an other planet and the moon was he result of this crash. Also mars collided with a pluto-big object and was nearly destroyed. The planets were playing billiard. Some stayed, some were kicked out. The same will happen to our earth. If we don´t manage to destroy our earth ourselves, it will be destroyed in four billions of year by the expanding sun. But already in two billions of years our galaxy, the milkyway, will collide with the andromeda galaxy and maybe explode or collape to a giant black whole. The whole universe may collapse in ten billiards of years. All that is the perception of sience, but philosophy and religion did not realise it nor ask what it means for them.

We have two possibilities to react on this knowledge: Either we think that everything is completly senceless, that there is no sense of doing good od bad, of nothing. Or we accept that from the smalles atomic structure until the biggest galaxy there is the eternal and universal fight of love ans hate, warmth and coldness, gravitation and repulsion. As a living beeing, we can deside which side we have to choose.

The more I think about it, I come back to the wisdom of the weddas: Shiva and Wishnu, that are the main structures of universe.
