Voy a contar de la génesis de esta imagen. Una foto me mostraba nadando en una piscina. Tuve la impresión de que me parecía a una rana. Con la varita mágica de un programa para la edición de fotos, me transformé completamente en rana, ahora era una rana en el agua. Esta rana la envié con algunos otros programas al universo. Ahora, la rana está nadando en el cosmos para bucear por estrellas y galaxias. Tales como algunos pescadores bucean por perlas.

Así, en las últimas semanas, he buceado por las perlas del arte. El artista Guillermo Porras y la pintora y profe Maureen Venegas (ambos en San José) me han ayudado pacientemente para hacer mis primeros pasos en la pintura. Esto no siempre fue una tarea fácil, ya que la transformación del arte digital en la pintura real es bastante difícil. Pero vale la pena. Muchas perlas se encuentran en el fondo de este mar. Lo que aprendí, confirmó mi creencia de que la fotografía y la pintura son hermanas, tal vez incluso gemelas. Gemelas con diferentes colores de cabello, pero con el mismo idioma.

I´ll tell you about the genesis of this picture. A picture showed myself swimming in a pool. I had the impression that I looked like a frog. With the magic wand of a program for photo editing, I transformed me completely into a frog. Now I was a frog in the water. This frog I sent with some other programs into the space. Now the frog is swimming in the universe to dive for stars and galaxies. Such as pearl fishers dive for pearls.

In the same way, in recent weeks, I have dived for pearls of art. The artist Guillermo Porras and the painter and teacher Maureen Venegas (both in San José) have helped me patiently to climb the first steps of painting, to break ground. This was not always an easy job, because the transform of digital art into real painting is rather difficult. But it's worth it. Many pearls are to be found at the bottom of this sea. What I learned, confirmed my belief that photography and painting are siblings, maybe even twins. Twins with different hair colors but with the same language.

Endless Screw / tornillo infinito

A veces pienso que, no tenemos a preguntar: ¿arte o pintura digital. Tal vez hay un número infinito de combinaciones posibles. 

La chispa vuela hacia atrás y adelante. Una foto puede ser transformada en una pintura hecha a mano. Entonces esta pintura se procesa de nuevo en el archivo digital en el compu. Si seguimos este pensamiento: Podemos imprimir la imagen editada de nuevo, y entonces podemos poner una nueva capa de pintura aceite o acrílica sobre la impresión.. El resultado se puede escanear o fotografiar de nuevo ... no hay final de este tornillo.

Esto (el cambio múltiple entre foto, pintura y edición digital), ocurrió exactamente con esta imagen abajo.

Sometimes I think, we shall NOT ask: Digital Art OR painting. Perhaps there is an infinite number of possible combinations.

The spark flies back and forth. A photo can be transformed into a handmade painting. Then this painting is processed again into digital file at the pc.

If we continue this thought: We can print the edited image again, and then we can put an new layer of oil or acrylic color over the print. . The result we can scan or photograph again...there is no end of this screw.

This (the multiple change between photo, painting and digital processing), exactly happened to this picture above.

Creative solutions / soluciones creativas

Sometimes there are moments, which are determined by joy. The bright colors of the impressions lay over the black-and-white memories of  troubles. Central America is a good place for such a change of consciousness, for the process of creating such a color film for your memories. Everything is colorful and somehow sympathetic-chaotic. This region of the world (of course) has such a lot of problems, that everyone has learned hard lessons of chaos management. It teaches yourself to be creative...

Casas de San José- loco!

A veces, hay momentos, que son determinados por la alegría. Los brillantes colores de las impresiones yacían sobre los recuerdos en blancos y negros de los problemas. América Central es un buen lugar para un tal cambio de conciencia, para el proceso de la creación de una película de color para tus recuerdos. Todo aparece colorido y de alguna manera simpática-caótico. Esta región del mundo ( por supuesto) tiene un montón de problemas, pero cadauno ha aprendido lecciones duras de la gestión del caos. Esto también ayuda al visitante, a desarrollar capacidades creativas ...
