Digital lakes in sunlight

Even though Caspar David Friedrich and William Turner still are the fundaments of landscape-painting, we have to realize in which time we are living. Machine spies of mankind are crawling over the martial surface as well as they fly over the gush spring of jupiter moons. Our computers are full of games with fantasy landscapes, new realities are created on PC. So the landsart of the contemporary painter has to realise these new worlds and posibillities. So, let me invite you on this trip, have a look on some landscapes created merely on PC and mobile.

A pesar de Caspar David Friedrich y William Turner todavía son los fundamentos de la pintura paisajista, tenemos que darnos cuenta de que el tiempo que estamos viviendo. Espías maquinarias de la humanidad se arrastran sobre la superficie de Marte, así como que sobrevuelan los géiseres de las lunas de Júpiter. Nuestros ordenadores están llenos de juegos con paisajes de fantasía, las nuevas realidades se crean en el compu. Así que el pintor contemporáneo tiene que darse cuenta de estos nuevos mundos y posibilidades. Así voy a invitarvos en este viaje, a echar un vistazo a algunos paisajes creados simplemente con compu y móvil.

The artist always has to be a little bit blasphemous in some way, he must create new worlds out of nothing as God did it in the first week. That is why some extremists hate painters and pictures.  But the artist is not an enemy of God, he is an ally. He must be able to share the visions of the prophets.

El artista siempre tiene que ser un poco blasfemo; de alguna manera, tiene que crear nuevos mundos de la nada como Dios lo hizo en la primera semana. Es por eso que algunos extremistas odian pintores y pinturas. Pero el artista en realidad no es un enemigo de Dios, es un aliado. Él debe ser capaz de compartir las visiones de los profetas.

Me fascinan los imágenes de la noche, no importa si son de películas, de pinturas o de fotos. La noche reduce muchos formas y colores. Estes formas o colores que quedan, siempre estan mas intensos, casi apuntado. La noche tambien provoca ilusiones y engaños de ojo. Hay algunas reflexiones de luz y fenómenos de espejismo que no se entiende por la primera vista. Estas trampas del ojo crean una atmósfera de inseguridad y extrañamiento. Se tiene que mirar dos veces para entender el imagen que se muestra al ojo.

I am fascinated by the images of the night, no matter whether they are films, paintings or photos. The night reduces many shapes and colors. Those shapes or colors that remain visible, are always more intense, almost pointed. The night also causes eye illusions and delusions. There are some light reflections and phenomena of mirroring that arn´t understandeble at first sight. These eye traps create an atmosphere of insecurity and alienation. You have to look twice to understand the picture shown to the eye.
